Case Study: Ballistic Radio
Recently, we were contacted by John Johnston, owner of Ballistic Radio, to move his site from one of the “big box” hosting companies over to our servers. Because of our close ties to the shooting, hunting and outdoors industry, we were a perfect fit for Johnston to move his website. Additionally, he wanted to spruce up his site without losing any content.
We built a completely custom, managed VPS that he could grow into. He selected our Hydrogen plan, which gave him 1024MB of RAM, 25GB of storage, and 2TB of bandwidth. We opted to run CentOS 7 with a bunch of add-ons and customizations to suit Johnston’s needs.
His previous site was using an old and outdated version of WordPress. Our team at True Negative was able to easily work with Johnston on selecting a new premium theme and get it installed onto his website. The cutover to our services went flawlessly and he was left with a brand new website with literally zero downtime. This worked great for Johnston and his team because they were already used to working with WordPress.
The last component to his switch was his email. His current email was stored with another “big box” hosting company (completely different than his website) and they were limiting him to 25,000 emails. As this was one of his main focuses for moving his site and hosting, we were able to set up his VPS to handle all of his and his team’s emails with no limitations.
With our team’s focus on providing exceptional services to all of our clients, as well as our work in the shooting, hunting and outdoors industry, we were able to provide Ballistic Radio with a new, faster, more secure home on the world wide web.
